I Am Mayor - Parker Tate

D01 Sa R2

Finally, its happened.

I am mayor of Asbhy Falls.

I will sit as Mayor for 4 years before the next election, and hopefully, many more after that. I have been given an office downtown (in Kai Mountain) to run the council out of, its not finished yet, but I think its good enough to start holding meetings.
As of today, the council constists of:
Myself - Mayor

James Hudson - Chief of Police, Minister for Emergency services

Katy Stratton - Minister for Children
We definately need more council members. Some positions are still empty.
It has been planned that we will hold a meeting once a year (on the 1st, 6th, 11th and 16th of each season).
Our first meeting is later today! I'm very excited :)

My Baby Girl - Parker Tate

D19 Ra R2
She's here.
Mia finally arrived today.
As soon as I saw her I knew she was my baby girl. It was just something in me that screamed 'thats my child'.

I have to admit, she's very cute.

Lupe Rivera, owner of the Rivera Orphanage in Lemon Creek came to hand Mia over, and make sure she was ok in her new home. I think she was pleasantly surprised. And, off the record, that woman sure can dance!

Of course, she had to give me the obligatory 'this is how you take care of a baby' speech, which I was more than happy to listen to. It has been quite a while since I've had a baby in the house.

Mia seemed to have a great time, playing with all of her new toys, exploring the house. She even took her first steps! Right in front of my eyes! I almost cried!

I'm sure little Mia was tired from the trip, I put her to bed without a problem. She just lay down and went to sleep, what a good little girl. Lupe and I said our goodbyes, and promised to keep in touch with each other.

I hope Mia will be happy here. I guess its lucky she's so young, she wont remember her previous family, or the pain of being taken away from them. Hopefully, her life will only be full of good memories, happy memories, and memories of a father that loves her, very, very much.

Getting Ready for Baby - Parker Tate

D17 Ra R2

I am absolutely thrilled! My adoption of little Mia Grimm has been approved by the Revera Orphanage in Lemon Creek!

This is the only picture of Mia that I have, I keep it on me at all times to remind me of the good things to come.

I have been very busy getting a room ready, the old study has now been converted into pink paradise, with toys galore and a brand new cot and change table! Its very strange walking into the house and seeing so many baby things again! The kitchen once again has a high chair in it, and ther is a box of toys in the hall. I'm so happy!

I hope its all ok, I probably did go a little over the top, but she deserves it... and I did have a bit of spare money.
I cant wait til Mia gets here!

Adoption - Parker Tate

D14 Ra R2

I have sent a request to our friends at Lemon Creek regarding the adoption of a baby girl.

Since the death of my dear wife, Caden, I have been very lonely. I'm ashamed to say it, but I miss having all my children around, and have always felt awful for not being a good enough parent back in those early days. I want to make it up now.

Now that Ike is in high school, and working late most evenings, I find myself thinking more and more about having another child. Unfortunately the rules state I cannot adopt inside Greater Ashby, fair enough. Interhood adoption is something I had not considered, until reading about it in the Lemon Creek news. What could be better? Helping out another hood, helping a child and fulfilling my wish for another baby, not to mention this will make my popularity sky rocket, it seems too good to be true.

I just hope my proposal is accepted.

I Will Be Mayor - Parker Tate

D13 Ra R2

Mayor Parker Tate.

Mayor Parker Tate.... MAYOR Parker Tate. Mayor Tate.

... It all has a nice ring to it.

I am very excited about the prospect of becoming Mayor. I've been using the pre election period to get myself ready, physically and mentally. I know that being Mayor of Ashby Falls is a huge task, but I am sure now that I am ready to undertake it.

I've been talking to James ans it seems his first priotiry is a new police station. His wife, Brooke, isnt very happy about raising their kids in the current house, and I agree with him, a new police station and house for the cheif and his family is at the top of the agenda. Katy Stratton has also said that she would like to see schools established in Ashby Falls so the children dont have to commute to far. This is also, at the top of the agenda.

Emergency services and education, thats what a town needs, and thats what a town will get should I become Mayor.

A Change of Career - Parker Tate

D06 Ra R2

I have decided to quit my job as an adviser for the Board of Greater Ashby. I'm not enjoying it at all. I constantly make the wrong decisions, plus they keep reminding me of how I am such a bad role model for the parents of Ashby Falls.

My son Ike and I have a good relationship now, and seeing as he recently grew up into a strapping young lad I think I've done a fair job. Of course, I cant help but wonder what Caden would say. I miss her dearly, and still cry every day about her passing. If only I hadnt gone to work that day. Well it wont happen again. From now on I am going to be working from home, looking for planets and constellations. It pays a lot better than my old job, and I am here when Ike gets home from school, something thats never happened before.

I think Ike might be a little worried about money, he just got a job, I'm very proud of him but there is no need to worry. I have put money aside for his college tuition.

Puppies? - Parker Tate

D16 Sh R1

I invited the Hudsons over.

Mainly because they are good friends of mine, and I wanted to help them celebrate the expected birth of their first child, but also because we have plans to breed our dogs, Sasha and Kelper.

James thinks it will be a good idea, ensuring police dogs for the future. Ike just wants to see puppies so he's not much help in this. I had no real feelings either way about it, so when the 2 dogs became fast friends I had no objections. I'm actually starting to get excited now about the prospect of new life! Not to mention the puppies could bring in a small fortune.

We're not sure yet if Sasha is expecting but it certainly is exciting to know we could soon have the pitter patter of little puppy, and baby feet around Ashby Falls.
